The Modern Day Oracle
This is a story about a girl who dreamed of the future. On the night she born the sky was such a deep blue it looked like it was purple. The stars were so bright that night they sparkled brighter than the brightest diamond.
Her mothers name was Branwyn. Branwyn was very young when she gave birth. She was very beautiful. Fair was her skin. She had light wavy locks and very light green eyes. She showed up in the town of Willow Grove in the Fall. A elderly couple driving home one night from church saw her waling down the road by herself. This kind couple pulled over and offered her a ride. She accepted. As they drove they found out that she had lost her memory and all she knew was her name. She didn’t know where she came from or if she and any family. The elderly couple was so taken by the soft spoken girl that they asked her to come stay with them. About a month had gone by and no one had came looking for a missing girl. But they did notice something about her. She was with child. The elderly couple did not judge her and welcomed her to their family.
Branwyn embraced her new family. They lived a quiet life waiting and preparing for the expected child. The elderly couple took Branwyn to church. When the people of the town questioned who she was, the elderly couple told the truth. They didn’t know, but that she must have been meant to stay with them. Though some would judge, most of the towns people loved and respected the elderly couple. So they also tried to embrace Branwyn and her situation.
The months rolled by. Winter, Spring. Branwyn’s body grew and so did the elderly couples love for Branwyn and her child. They embraced her as a daughter. But as Summer grew closer Branwyn seemed to change. Her fairness and glow seemed to dim. She always enjoyed helping with the chores., helping the elderly couple with their work around the house. But now she tired very easily . The rose glow in her cheeks had gone. She was sleeping much more now.
The elderly couple noticed this. They did worry some, but thought these changes were due to her getting closer to having her child.
The Summer came and that beautiful Summer night when the sky was such a deep blue it looked purple and the stars were so bright they out shown the brightest diamonds, she had her child.
The child had came quickly so there was no time to go to the hospital. So she gave birth right there at the elderly couples home.
She was a beautiful baby girl. Unlike her mother, her hair was dark and her eyes were the deepest blue. Just like the sky that night. Branwyn named her Sapphire
Later that night while Branwyn, Sapphire and the elderly couple were sleeping. Branwyn was awakened by a majestic light at the end of her bed. There she saw a being of light. So bright was this being that Branwyn thought it was the Sun at first. But when she looked the light was pleasing to her eyes. Then the being spoke to her.
The being told her this would be her last day here on earth. It explained that her time here was finished and that the elderly couple would take care of her child. That her child was special to all the people here on Earth. That her child would bring an important message to all.
Branwyn sat there, a single tear streamed down her face. She looked over to her child. She was engulfed in the light of the being. The light then ascended towards heaven. Branwyn was fair again. She then whispered “I remember”. The she closed her eyes forever.
Some years had passed and the elderly couple embraced Sapphire as their own. Sapphire had blossomed into a beautiful child. She had Branwyn’s fair skin, with lovely long dark hair and those deep blue eyes.
Early on the elderly couple knew that Sapphire was special. She knew their thoughts and spoke sometimes of things to come.
Because Sapphire was special the elderly couple gave her a sheltered life for as long as they could. But the tine came when she would to go to school.
Sapphire loved school and her new friends. Her new friends embraced her also. But then little things started happening with Sapphire. Now at first it was nothing the other children would notice, but it was what Sapphire had said to them.
You see, she would tell them little stories. Things a child would not speak of or know about. The children being curious would go to their parents and retell these stories. Some of the stories were dark and disturbing. Some of the parents would no longer let their child play with Sapphire. Some parents came to the elderly couple angry and told the couple that Sapphire must stay away from their children or bad things would happen to them.
Unfortunately Sapphire heard these angry words and came to the elderly couple and began to cry. She didn’t understand what she done wrong.
The elderly couple gently explained that she was special and had done nothing wrong and that the other children’s parents did not understand the special gifts Sapphire had and that it scared them.
It was soon after this that the elderly couple decided to leave the town they lived in and go somewhere new. They would teach Sapphire themselves.
The elderly couple found a new town. This town was completely different fro the last. Now they were near the sea. It was very different where they came from in middle America. Now there were palm trees and sand. The water was a crystal clear and turquoise blue.
It was soon after the elderly couple decided to leave their town, that they saw something on TV that helped them choose the new place they were to live.
There was a community of people who had special abilities like Sapphire. They knew then that this was the place they were to go.
Sapphire loved living by the sea. She spent everyday near the water. The people of this community embraced Sapphire. They understood how special she was. They came together to teach Sapphire how to embrace her abilities. Sapphire flourished.
Some years went by and Sapphire grew into a beautiful young woman. But the elderly couple had both become ill, one after the other. And so they left this world.
Soon after this a woman from the community who was more close than the others of the community took Sapphire under her wings.
Sapphire mourned the loss of the elderly couple whom she loved as her parents. But after time her pain lessoned and she began to love the woman from the community as a mother.
The woman was different from the elderly couple. She looked at the world differently than they did. She was a free spirit. Sapphire began to embrace this and grew more confident.
With Sapphires new confidence she slowly became more comfortable with leaving the community and exploring new places and meeting new people.
Eventually she met a nice young man at the beach one day. He was very nice and true at heart. Sapphire truly liked hin. She took hin to the community to meet the woman and the people there.
The woman and the people fo the community could see and feel that the you mans intentions were pure. And so it that the woman let Sapphire go out with him.
The young man and Sapphire went to a hidden cove. It was beautiful and was surrounded by high smooth rocks and the water was a beautiful blue green. It was so clear you could see all the way to the bottom of the pool of water.
They decided to set on one of the rocks and just enjoy their surroundings. They were very comfortable together and didn’t have to say much to each other to enjoys each others company. They just enjoyed being together. As they sat there the sun began to set. Sapphire was so comfortable she began gazing into the clear bluish green water. She went into a trance and then she spoke.
She spoke of the Earth shaking so hard that everything crumbled and imploded into itself.
Then she spoke of the air. Tornados forming and winds so strong they blew away all in it’s path.
She continued about fiery volcanoes erupting so violently that its hot magma covered whole towns in moments.
Then the water. Swelling into giant waves and rolling into the land and covering all that was there.
This so scared the young man that he shook Sapphire until she came out of the trance.
They young man asked her about what she spoke. Sapphire did not know. So they went back to the community to speak the woman.
Sapphire had always had the abilities. She also always remembered all of her visions and dreams until this one. The woman did not know what to think so they went to see of the elders of the community.
They elder had lived many years and also possessed many special abilities like Sapphiire. He was bothered that the young man had interrupted Sapphires vision.
So the elder, the woman, the young man and Sapphire went back to the hidden cove.
The elder and the woman had lived here many years and had never seen this hidden cove. They now all sat down on the smooth rocks not saying anything.
After some time had passed Sapphire began to relax. She was looking down into the clear waters. Then she began to speak.
Again she spoke of the earth, the air, fire and water. But this time they did not interrupt her vision.
She continued, She spoke of all becoming one spirit as above in heaven.
When Sapphire finished her body became limp. When she rose her head a single tear fell down her face.
When elder and the woman knew what Sapphire had seen. It had been prophesized for thousands of years. And while most in the world today believed something like this would happen, none really believed it would happen in these times.
Going back to the community the elder and the woman called together the people of the community to let them know of this vision.
For it was known in different civilizations and different cultures throughout time that there would be an oracle whom would come before the events were to come. And this oracle would bring with the a message of our end. For that time was now near. But this message was changed by religion, time and man through the centuries.
The community knew it must get this message out to the world. And though it would not comfort all, it would bring comfort to those who believed in the beings of light and the majestic light. Especially the children of this world. For they were still innocent.
The community spoke to each other day and night for several days. They knew that Sapphire must deliver this message soon. For the signs were there and the planets had begun to align.
The community agreed they must cntack those in the media. For they were only ones whom could make sure the message was heard around the world before it was too late.
Most ignored the please of the community. But there were some who knew in there heard that what the community told them was true.
These special few agreed to let Sapphire come and speak so that her message would go out, if only in a few places at first, to the world. For the signs were small at first, but they were becoming more frequent and could no longer be ignored.
The community knew that it was told there would be a flare up from the sun that was so great that all known electronic communication means that we knew in this time would be lost.
The day had come for Sapphire to speak. The media came to the community. The elder and the woman decided to take the media to the hidden cove so that Sapphire could give her message.
There Sapphire stood, surrounded by the elder, the woman, the young man and the media.
All went very quiet. Then Sapphire’s head fell. Then she gazed upon the clear water. And then she spoke.
“The events of our destiny have been set in motion and therefore cannot be undone.
We must accept what is to come. Those of you who know no peace will have no peace in what I say. For our time here has come to an end.
The signs of our fate have been in motion for sometime. The planets will finally align and the Sun will flare like never before.
The earth will shake so had that it will start to fall into itself, crumbling into pieces.
The air will become so great that it will blow all in it’s path away, causing tornados and hurricanes.
Fire will erupt from the volcanoes, from both above and below the sea.
The water will rise and encompass all in its path.
But fear not. For all will be swift and finally all spirits will become one with the great spirit”
Soon after Sapphire spoke, word had begun to spread of our fate. Most felt the truth of this message and a great calm began to spread.
Finally the planets aligned as foretold. The sun had it greatest and final flare.
The earth began to fall into itself.
The air blew away all left standing in its path.
The fire erupted from the volcanoes from both above and below the sea.
The water engulfed what was left.
The earth became part of the majestic light and spirits became one with the great spirit. 2012
